Seeking a Senior Estimator to serve as a pivotal leader within the firm. You will join a high-performing Pre-Construction/estimating team, taking the lead on the firm’s largest repeat-business accounts and continue their expansion into these sectors.

The Impact You’ll Make

You won’t just compile bids; you will be the driving force in delivering high-value project wins and securing the firm’s major contracts. We are looking for a seasoned professional who excels at managing high-stakes public and private bidding, balancing hands-on execution with the strategic development of the internal team.

  • Major Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end estimating process for high-profile ground up and renovation projects up to $50M, focusing on Education facilities, Healthcare centers, and Government buildings.
  • Pipeline Execution: Directly manage and deliver estimates for the firm’s largest repeat-business accounts, ensuring the successful conversion of a deep, stable backlog into awarded work.
  • Strategic Leadership: Act as a key leader within the department, balancing the delivery of complex bids with the mentorship and development of the junior estimating team as the firm continues to scale.

 

What we're looking for

  • Proven Success: 10+ years as an Estimator for a General Contractor, with a clear track record in the New York market
  • Bidding Fluency: Expert proficiency in multiple bidding and delivery methods, including Competitive Sealed Bids (CSB), Prequalified Lists (PQL), Job Order Contracting (JOC), and CM-at-Risk/GMP.
  • Public Sector Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the NYC PASSPort system and the nuances of agency-specific requirements (DDC, NYSCA, and major Healthcare Associations).
  • Strategic Execution: A proven ability to navigate the nuances of large-scale public bidding, managing subcontractor relationships and developing highly accurate, competitive proposals.
  • Technology Proficiency: Expert-level command of modern estimating software, including On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, and digital procurement platforms to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency.
