Job Description

The Role

This is a senior construction leadership position for a hands-on executive who can drive projects from groundbreaking through delivery and occupancy. You will lead complex developments that balance financial discipline with meaningful community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction Leadership: Oversee all phases of construction for large-scale ground-up developments and occupied rehabilitations
  • Project Execution: Manage general contractors, design teams, and consultants to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Agency Coordination: Navigate HPD, HDC, and NYCHA requirements; manage compliance and regulatory milestones
  • Financial Management: Track budgets, process requisitions, and maintain lender/investor compliance across mixed-finance capital stacks
  • Stakeholder Management: Interface with community groups, city agencies, and internal teams to advance project goal

What we're looking for

Requirements

  • 10+ years in NYC construction management or development, with direct affordable housing experience
  • Proven track record managing occupied renovations and/or ground-up multifamily construction
  • Working knowledge of HPD/HDC processes and compliance frameworks
  • Strong financial acumen—able to manage budgets, change orders, and draw schedules
  • Mission-aligned: genuine commitment to expanding affordable housing in NYC
